About The Big Band

Hootin Annies Big Band is a 17 piece band based in Manchester and we regularly play at both public and private events in and around the Manchester area.

We are an extremely versatile big band and can offer repertoire to suit every occasion.

We are available for weddings, private parties, corporate bookings and charity events providing very competitive rates.

We can entertain and provide you with a fun evening of great music to either dance or listen to in many different styles.  Take a look at our repertoire page.

We work with a number of singers and we can advise you which singer/s would be best suited for your evening.

We also put on a number of our own events, which you can book from this web-site, and switch between our 'Big Band Sunday afternoon Swing Sessions' where we play a huge array of popular vocal and instrumental big band charts and our 'Special guest nights/afternoons', where we invite highly acclaimed jazz artists to give an amazing experience and unique programme to our band and audience.

To date we have worked with Steve Waterman, trumpet; Nathan Bray, trumpet; Mark Bassey, trombone; Tina May, jazz vocalist and Alan Barnes, alto saxophone.
