You can book for our gigs in a number of ways
Choose "Buy Now" for the gig you would like to attend from the list below.
You can also e-mail us on music@hootinanniesbigband.co.uk and we can reserve a seat for you and you can then pay on the door. You can also now pay by ‘chip and pin’, ‘contactless’ or by cash, whichever you prefer.
Just take your email receipt to the gig to show on the door (this can be on your phone so no need to print off).
Big Band Medley Nights - These cost £7 (£5 for 'Friends of Hootin' Annie's members)
Our ‘Big Band Medley Nights’, which are sometimes themed, are a complete mixed bag of arrangements with quite a lot of vocal numbers and a chance for you to dance to our music.
These are held at Sale Conservative Club, 161 Dane Road, M33 2NG
Special Guest Evenings - These cost £15 (£12 for 'Friends of Hootin' Annie's members)
These evenings give our band the opportunity to play with some amazing musicians who are widely-acclaimed and come with a vast knowledge and experience and who inspire the band to reach higher standards. We also get the opportunity to play charts that are not widely available and we can bring a unique programme to our audiences. These events are held at different locations, so check details for each event.

Join us for an afternoon of big band charts mainly arranged by Sammy Nestico.
Sammy Nestico was a prolific big band composer and arranger and is most well known for his 'Count Basie' arrangements. This afternoon we are going to be playing a wide selection of his arrangements and we will also be joined by our two singers, Dave Bradley and Jo Lester.

As part of Sale Festival, Hootin' Annies are excited to bring to you the 'Up Close and Personal' show with Amy Webber, an acclaimed singer and comedienne.
Up Close & Personal with Amy Webber promises to be an utterly entertaining experience with an artist unleashed to do what she does best. This one off show will be a first for Amy, weaving together jazz classics, weird and wonderful stories, and hilarious comedy.
Amy will be singing some of her all time favourite songs while delving into anecdotes from her childhood in Japan to how she accidentally fell into comedy, careers tried and failed, and music she discovered along the way. Expect soulful singing, unfiltered storytelling, and captivating entertainment from a performer who is unashamedly herself.
Winner of 'Best Stand Up Comedy' at Manchester Fringe (2023), Amy's debut one woman comedy show was praised as “a divinely constructed comedy hour” (Playbill) and alongside a sell out run at Edinburgh Fringe, was added to the Telegraph's '35 of the funniest shows of the Fringe' list. As a singer, Amy has performed in iconic venues such Wigmore Hall and Abbey Road Studios and as a songwriter Amy has written songs for the likes of Oxford University Press, BBC Radio Manchester and Manchester’s very own Take Back Theatre.

Steely Dan as seen by Fred Sturm!
We are performing an afternoon of Fred Sturm arrangements, mainly focussing on his arrangements of Steely Dan charts. Steely Dan fans should be warned that these are not straight copies of the originals and Fred Sturm, has come up with a really original and unusual take on each of these numbers. This is going to be a very exciting and at times powerful, gig and one definitely not to be missed. This gig will be featuring our own guitarist, Dave Kisseock as Walter Becker!

Heather John, who some of you might have seen as part of the Carrington Church music series earlier in the year, is joining us to play a selection of clarinet features including the Artie Shaw clarinet concerto. Heather is a virtuosic player with an abundance of energy and is a delight to both watch and listen to!
